Mount Harmony Farm Guest House is a charming 2-story country house in an earthy
setting, with privacy, natural beauty, and easy accessibility. This peaceful Guest House"
in VT's NEK"is a wonderful place to slow down, unwind and spend time indoors or out
in nature. The giant picture window has some of the best views in the NEK. In Spring
you can hear spring peepers and frogs; in summer you can pick fresh produce & herbs
from the fenced in organic vegetable garden which is shared with the owners. This
private Guest House has 1/2 Acre of fragrant evergreen woods behind it which are for
your enjoyment and free access -- weather permitting. Special arrangements may be
made to use our carefully marked trail to access the VAST snowmobile trail. Three
minutes from our front door is a pristine, little known, state park with ponds, woods, and
hiking/exploring trails.
One Great Room is upstairs and another one downstairs. Upstairs are 2 Bedrooms, 1.5
Bathrooms, a Breakfast Nook and the Great Room with its very large picture window
facing the mountains. The Breakfast Nook upstairs is great for your morning coffee;
especially if you like breakfast in bed. Full-size Bed in one bedroom; other Bedroom
has a King-size pillow-top Bed. Built- in 2nd King-Size bed in Upstairs Great Room is
off to one side of the Picture Window, and a built-in Captain's Bed is on the other side.
Downstairs Great Room has a stove & oven, microwave, refrigerator, and double kitchen
sink, wood kitchen island, dining table & seating for 6, plus a really great pellet stove, and
a wood stove if you need it. There is also WiFi, and a Full-size Futon Couch-Bed to watch
Cable TV/DVDs, or open it out to sleep in. After a hi-energy day in the great outdoors,
unwind with the karaoke, piano, or just kick back into the recliner and drop down into the
wonderful warmth of the pellet stove.
Amenities include Bed & Bath Linens, Utilities. Internet Service (WiFi and 3 ports), Cable TV plus
2 TVs (one is hi-def 26"), a DVD Player, Radio-CD Player, kitchenware & utensils, Microwave,
Toaster, Toaster Oven, 2 Coffee Makers, Bean Grinder, Food Processor, blender, a few basics
(spices, condiments, sugar, more), Hair Dryer, Gas Grill in warm seasons, & Iron. Please bear in
mind that the farm itself is a private -- separate -- business from the Guest House and Guest
House Garden. Farmland, pastures, gardens, barns, paddocks, and all farm animals, are private
property.
Area Offerings: Guest House is just off the VAST Trail, is near many areas with outdoor trails (Nordic &
Alpine skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, horseback riding, mountain biking, sledding, etc.), and many ponds
and lakes (fishing, swimming, etc.). Several hiking, swimming and fishing places are within an easy 5-
to 15-minute drive. Our local pond has a beautiful Walden-like walking trail leading to a fairly private
pond within a short walk. The world-renowned Bread & Puppet Theater is a mile away. Many Farmer's
Markets (with Crafts, Artisan Breads & Cheeses, Fresh Produce, Plants, and often Performers) in the
area during warm seasons. Also nearby are Craftsbury's Outdoor Center, Burke Mountain and E. Burke
with their many activities & trails, and Kingdom Trails for summer hiking, and mtn. biking with world-
class events, and great eating spots. There is a good selection of dining places (Restaurants, Cafés,
etc.), and popular country stores.
Vacation Rental -- Please phone us for a rate quote for the period of your desired stay, as well as to
thoroughly answer any questions you may have. Also, let us know how many people are coming, as
rates are for up to 4 people -- $25 additional for each person/day above four. Special rate quotes given
on the phone or by e-mail are valid for only one week, at which time it expires if payment's not received
within 7 days. Payment in full in advance is required to secure booking dates and get early bird special
rates. PayPal is set up at the bottom of this page for SECURE credit card payments. We reserve
the right to require a security deposit. Broadband Internet (WiFi, plus 3 ports), and Cable TV are
included.
Refunds: All refunds & cancellations are dependent on getting a replacement booking for the
dates you booked/paid for -- if something comes up a week or less before your arrival, or
you leave early, there is no refund:We HIGHLY recommend you take out Traveller's Insurance.
